Photography is a hobby for me, and I love looking through my camera lens and seeing life on the move.
I have had a number of cameras over the years and when the world went digital opted for a simple ‘point and shoot’ Canon SX50 HS.
The Canon SX50 is a great camera with a fantastic focal range with the world’s first 50x Optical zoom lens in a compact camera, which goes all the way from a wide-angle 24mm to 1200mm (35mm equivalent) to capture any shot you choose.
I found this great when capturing my teenage son playing football and with the high speed AF ensuring I captured all the action with faster focussing speed.
I recently upgraded (but kept my Canon too) to a Panasonic Lumix G9. This is a mid-range mirrorless camera featuring 4k video capture, image stabilisation and a 20.3 megapixel Four Thirds sensor. It is weather-sealed and dust proof so should stand up to most environments.
I am using a 14-140mm lens which so far is doing everything I need it to do; bearing in mind I am just starting out! I have added a couple of prime lenses and a macro lens and am learning as I go.
I wanted a forum for my photography rather than using Instagram so have created this blog for my photos.
I would love your feedback and welcome any hints and tips for improving my photography.
Regards
Sharon
